MAC MINERALIZE MOISTURE FOUNDATION SPF15

Dry skin needs intense moisturisation and when a foundation is used on bare dry skin , its hell !!Yeah I know that ...my skin is super dry and I have always been on a look out for a foundation that does not dry me out.But yeah , I can always use a moisturizer underneath but even that does not quench my skins' thirst! So a moisturizing foundation is something that tops my priority. My recent addiction in foundation was MAC studio fix foundation(reviewed here), so when I heard MAC mineralize moisture foundation launched , it was an instant buy for me.Now do I like the studio fix or mineralize foundation ?Read on to know more about this wonder potion!
Product Type: Minerlize moisturizing foundation.
Product Price: 1900INR
Product Claim by the company: A combination of powders creates an optical blurring effect that almost diminishes imperfections and fine lines, for a more even tone. The light-reflecting, natural satin finish makes skin appear refined, revitalized and refreshed with a new purity, softly lit from within. SPF 15 adds the perfect finishing touch of sun protection. Features our 77-Mineral Complex, Shea Butter and Vitamin E.(Courtesy:www.maccosmetics.com)My take on MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation SPF 15:
This time around , I had to pick NC 40 instead of NC 42 , as the make up artist at MAC said that this foundation oxidizes so recommended a shade lighter.Though I was happy , very happy with my studio fix foundation ,I had to pick this , because it has the goodness of minerals and says moisture foundation and there was no backing upon this one.
NOW that I have both , I understand which one works good for my climate.I live near the shore , ours being a coastal city , its humid ,very humid most of the times, sweaty too.And when I used the mineralize moisture foundation ,it just didn't stay in place.I was looking sweaty , watery as if the foundation was running down my cheeks.Though otherwise it blends easily , has more runny consistency than the studio fix.I tried using a mineral finishing powder , but just did not work well in my city.May be it would work in more drier climates.
Nonetheless worth a try only if you are not residing in coastal ares where it has high humidity.
Since I will never change from the place where I stay I guess I stick to my Studio fix.
You might be thinking what about coverage , for me not any at all.Likes:
1.Unlike other foundations , this one comes with its own pump dispenser.
2.Blends well and does not get cakey.
3.Mineral sunscreen of SPF 15.
Ikes:
1.Does not work in humid climates even on very dry skin types.
2. Oxidises , so make sure to pick up the right shade.Wait until you have shopped with the foundation on and then buy it.
3.A little runny than most foundations.
4.Sheer coverage only.
Would I buy this again? No ,not until I move to a drier place, will give it a try when I go to drier places with no or less humidity.
Would I recommend this to anyone?YES , dry skin types living in dry places.
